More in the period pre-2011 than after, the Zero Anthropology Magazine on occasion presented bizarre, oddball pieces of cultural commentary, fiction, and satire. For a time the magazine ran a series titled “Monday Morning Madness,” from which some of the items below originated. However, some of the material frankly involved nothing more than clowning around. Other items listed below just do not fit within the other compilations on this site, which means they also qualify as oddballs. What have we learned from this? That there are a great many people out there who have lost (or never had?) the ability to laugh, to laugh at themselves, or who have never been culturally sensitized to the arts of sarcasm—they are wound up a little too tight for their own good. The date of the last edit here was June 30, 2019.
