When noted, the photographs featured in the pages within this site were taken by Maximilian C. Forte. You do not need to obtain written permission to use them, as long as reuse (with attribution) is of a non-commercial nature. The photographs originate from the author's research trips to Newfoundland, for a project focusing on inter-peripheral trade between Atlantic Canada and the Caribbean. The images thus symbolize the author's enduring fascination with the Caribbean, with his favourite part of Canada, and relate to ZAP topics such as trade, globalization, and empire.
