Annual reviews have become a consistent feature at the end of each year on the Zero Anthropology Magazine. Initially the typical annual review was focused on the magazine itself, by listing the top articles by number of readers for the year, and perhaps some other site statistics. Then the reviews became a chronicle of empire in motion, with detailed coverage of particular subjects and the events that marked their development over the course of a given year. Within the latter coverage, there would also be links to the most important articles of relevance we recommended. The annual reviews of later years can thus serve as a useful research tool for reconstructing particular trajectories. The date of the last edit here was July 3, 2019.
